Let Them Research CHICKENS!

I created a fun and engaging research project on chickens and wanted to share it with you guys! My students always loved researching!!! So I created this fun chicken research unit! In it you will find all the patterns needed to create the craftivity. I also included how I used the unit. I find that students need guidance when researching and I shared how I gave them guidance but allowed them to do all the work. :0) Easy to implement in your classroom. Have fun! I also added it to my TippyToe Chick Unit.

Describing Mudge Craftivity

Love the new craftivity I made for First Grade Reading Street Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Topper's House.  I added it to the existing unit and also made it available to purchase by itself.  It would be a great supplement to any Henry and Mudge story.  Also, could be used in substitute plans.

Dr. Seuss Fun

We are gearing up to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday! We are celebrating a week late because we have some benchmark tests to take this week. But boy when they are over we are going to celebrate all week next week! Here is a little sneak peek of what we are doing! Big shout out to Sayward Lowery and room mom, Brenda Reeks for creating this jewel for the wall in front of my room!!! I went and bought the "curtains" (plastic tablecloths) and handed stuff to her so I guess I can say I helped! Oh! and printed the book covers. :0)
Isn't it just precious?????!!!!!  Love, love, love it!  It will be one of our photo booth options...tomorrow we (she) will create another backdrop with Cat in the Hat.  I'll be the helper.  :0)  Come back later this week and I'll tell you all about what we have planned for our Dr. Seuss week.  If you are celebrating this week I hope you and your kiddos are having a blast!
